At the end of March, the first presentation of the Miloš Biković Foundation was held in Belgrade, which started a pilot project entitled
Empowering Young Talents for Academic and Personal Success
.
At the very beginning, the first group of participants consisting of about 30 students from 19 faculties and four universities from Serbia, was addressed by Miloš Biković, who greeted the participants and explained what motivated him to embark on such a project of support to young people. During the conversation, Milos answered the most questions of interested participants, who were interested in how the Foundation would recognize their interests and aspirations.
The word was then taken over by the director of the Foundation Veronika Tasić Vušurović, who introduced the members of our team, and then gave the opportunity to students to get to know each other. Medicine, music, mathematics, mechanical engineering, economics, physics, agriculture, applied arts are just some of the areas from which our students come. Most of them are from the final years of undergraduate or postgraduate studies, with greater or lesser experience of academic and research work, but with immense curiosity.
The central part of the day was the interactive workshop “Communication and Personality Types”, led by Olga Svoboda, a member of the Foundation’s board of directors and a consultant in the field of human resource development and management. Her focus was on soft communication skills and understanding of other team members in the business environment, and students had the opportunity to actively participate, design examples and collaborate in small groups.
The main impression of those present at the end of the day was the feeling of fulfillment and enthusiasm that brings with them great beginnings. This project has officially started and in the weeks ahead, online workshops, live meetings, study tours and much more will take place.
