During the weekend 20. And on April 21, 2024, the participants of the Miloš Biković Foundation gathered in Nis, for the purpose of participating in a two-day workshop dedicated to public speaking skills.
Marko Petkovic, founder of Peaksel company in Nis, which provided us with its premises, opened a weekend reserved for socializing and learning new skills together.
The workshop was led by Veronika Tasić Vušurović, Director of the Miloš Biković Foundation, strategic consultant, mentor and soft skills trainer and special guest from Moscow, Elena Doricheva, consultant and certified business coach. Both experts shared their rich experience in large local, regional and international companies and startups with the participants of our pilot project.
Students in an interactive setting with our lecturers processed key elements of public presentation. These were: preparing for the presentation itself, understanding the context, sending a clear and effective message that suits the needs of the audience, a strategy for mitigating potential risks, understanding the audience and the cultural differences that each brings with it.
In addition, special attention was paid to the successful conduct of discussions, taking the position of speakers, the importance of nonverbal communication, and all those tips & tricks that are behind what we consider a successful public performance. Behind the ease that seems to us to characterize a good public appearance, there are actually these skills, mastered and perfected in accordance with the needs and goals of each speaker, so that his performance is authentic, convincing and credible.
Socializing in Nis continued beyond work, because our participants and team members got the opportunity to get to know each other better, socialize and spend a weekend together in a productive and good atmosphere.
