The Milos Bikovic Foundation announced on Saturday (July 1st) that the 2007-2009 edition of the Project was held in Belgrade. In other news, The Hague-based Academy of Dramatic Arts (FDU) presented the awards to the best third-year students in film and television production. The awarded students are Jelena Kosara, Mina Maksimović and Pavle Mijanović, who have distinguished themselves as exceptional young talents with their work and dedication.
The awards were presented by a member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, Veronika Tasić Vušurović, and producer Tatjana Žeželj Gojković. As part of the ceremony, the head of the Department of Film and TV Production proposed to the Foundation to reward these talented students with a study trip to the United States.
A few years ago, the Department of Film and TV Production established a collaboration with the University of Miami and its department of cinematography. This collaboration enables FDU students to get acquainted with American colleagues, their films, as well as the methods of educating producers in America. Professors and students of the University of Miami have been guests at the Production Day festival for two years, which further enriches this international exchange of experiences.
The proposed students are full-time students of the third year of film and television production. They have demonstrated an exceptional level of knowledge and dedication throughout the school year, especially in engaging in complex television projects. These young people are already promising to become top professionals in the field of film and television production. The award provides them with the opportunity to expand their professional horizons through a study trip, acquire new knowledge in the field of production and look at their future profession from a different perspective. During the trip, they will actively work on the implementation of a video project that will explore successful young people from the diaspora.
This event is another step of the Miloš Biković Foundation in supporting young talents and their professional development, while at the same time contributing to maintaining good relations with a friendly school from Miami. We hope that such collaborations will be as much as possible in the future.
